Wang Lab
Welcome to our lab! We are always looking for highly motivated graduate students and postdocs from diverse backgrounds to join our lab.

Zhao Wang Ph.D
Associate professor, Biochemistry and Biophysics
Zhao is a biophysicist and structural biologist. He was born and grew up in China. As an undergraduate, he studied applied physics at Wuhan University. In 2015, he received his Ph.D. degree in biophysics from Peking University, then further training in cryo-electron microscopy (cryo-EM) from Professor Wah Chiu at the National Center for Macromolecular Imaging, Baylor College of Medicine. Zhao joined the tenure track faculty of BCM in 2018, with adjunct positions at three departments at BCM and Department of Molecular and Cellular Oncology, Division of Basic Science, The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center. He is also a co-Director cryo-EM core at BCM since 2017.
